Loved the room with the mountain view! I got to see the sunrise and sunset without leaving my bed and the balcony looked out onto plants so I felt like I had a jungle view despite being right in the city center by the big temples, shopping streets, and night market. The service was wonderful, the room large and comfortable for relaxing, the sheets were soft and the room very clean! The pool looked clean and refreshing, although I didn't get a chance to try it. The security at the entrance who helped with the luggage and late returns added peace of mind and a friendly face to the stay. The snacks and drinks available by the pool changed often for variety and were such a wonderful addition! I would definitely come back/recommend this hotel.

We were tipped by friends and it did not disappoint at all. This place is a charm. A great place to stay, very clean, with very friendly staff and on a great location (a quiet street in the middle of the centre of lovely Chiang Mai). The breakfast was not huge but very well taken care of. We are a family of 3 and had the Signature room that has 1. more space than the Deluxe room and 2. A balcony with seats and pool view (which the Studio doesn’t have). The Signature room has a separate corner where we placed the extra bed which was perfect for our 4yo son, to sleep sort of seperate from us but still in the same room. We truly had a lovely stay and would def recommend.

I like this hotel because the room design is comfortable to stay in and the service is very helpful and friendly also always smile :) Breakfast was lovely and the location was perfect - we found it so easy to get to the places we wanted to visit. We could have easily stayed a little longer. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. I was swimming and suddenly the staff took the initiative to give me a towel. I was very happy with the service of this hotel. I recommend you try to stay this hotel. I stayed 2 times in this hotel while going to Chiang Mai.

The El Barrio Lanna is a gem of a hotel, located in a quiet back street but right in the centre of Chiang Mai old town. A calming, relaxing, intimate place to stay, yet convenient for the main attractions of Chiang Mai. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and were very accommodating, even arranging a 5am check-in for us, courtesy of the lovely security guard. The breakfasts were brilliant, served in a well-appointed little restaurant. Our room was excellent - everything was top quality. The pool area (in a small courtyard) was a highlight, even offering all-day complimentary soft drinks and tasty biscuits.

Our bus arrived in CM early, but the desk staff kindly allowed us to check in early. The room was clean, modern, and showcased lovely northern-style architecture. The hotel is a pleasant 15-minute walk from the main moat gate, with many beautiful temples to explore along the way! Overall, we had a wonderful experience at the El Barrio Lanna hotel and would gladly return. We highly recommend it.
